EasyBaby AI ("we", "us", "our") operates the EasyBaby application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App. By using EasyBaby, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Apple Sign-In or email/password).
Baby Profile Data: Names, dates of birth, and other profile details you provide for your children.
Tracking Events: Data you log about your baby, including feeding sessions (type, amount, duration), sleep periods, diaper changes, growth measurements, medications, milestones, moods, and other care activities.
Voice Data: When you use voice logging, your speech is processed for speech-to-text conversion on your device using Apple's built-in Speech framework. Raw audio is never transmitted to our servers and is not stored. The resulting text transcript is sent to our server only for natural language understanding (NLU) to create structured tracking events.
Voice Conversation Data: When you use the voice conversation feature (an optional interactive mode), audio is streamed in real time to Google Gemini for processing. Audio is not stored by us and is not retained by Google beyond the active session. Transcripts generated during the session are used to create tracking events and are stored as part of your event data.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version, timezone, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
Media: Photos or images you upload related to your baby's tracking (e.g., milestone photos).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service: Store and display your tracking data, sync across devices, and share with authorized caregivers.
- AI-Powered Insights: Analyze tracking patterns to provide summaries, trends, and personalized insights about your baby's routines.
- Voice Processing: Convert voice commands into structured tracking events using on-device speech recognition and server-side AI models.
- Notifications: Send push notifications for reminders, timer alerts, and caregiver activity updates.
- Improve the Service: Aggregate and anonymize usage patterns to improve app features and reliability.
3. On-Device Processing
On supported devices running iOS 26 or later, EasyBaby uses Apple Foundation Models to provide AI-powered features such as parenting insights and pattern analysis. When on-device processing is used:
- Your data is processed entirely on your device.
- No baby data, tracking events, or personal information is sent to external servers for these features.
- Apple Foundation Models run locally and do not transmit data to Apple or any third party.
On-device processing is automatic when available and does not require additional configuration.
4. AI and Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to power various features of the App:
- Google Gemini: Powers the optional voice conversation mode for real-time interactive event logging.
- Anthropic Claude: Provides server-side AI-generated insights, natural language understanding for voice commands, and the AI parenting assistant.
- Apple Speech Framework: On-device speech-to-text conversion for voice logging. Audio is processed locally and never leaves your device.
- Apple (APNs, Sign-In, IAP): Push notifications, authentication, and subscription payment processing.
- Cloudflare R2: Secure storage for uploaded media files with signed, time-limited access URLs.
- Railway: Cloud infrastructure hosting our backend services and PostgreSQL database.
- Sentry: Error monitoring to identify and fix bugs. Crash reports do not contain baby data or tracking events.
When your data is processed by AI services (Gemini, Claude), only the minimum necessary context is sent. We do not sell your data to any third party. Our AI providers process data under strict data processing agreements and do not use your data to train their models.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway with encryption at rest and in transit. Media files are stored in Cloudflare R2 with access controls and time-limited signed URLs. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS/TLS encryption, token-based authentication, and rate limiting to protect your data.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- Caregivers: With other caregivers you explicitly invite via invite codes, subject to role-based permissions you control (admin, caregiver, or viewer access levels).
- Service Providers: With the third-party services listed above, solely to operate the App.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, legal process, or government request.
- Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
EasyBaby is designed for use by parents and caregivers (adults) to track information about their children. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All data about children is entered and managed by their parent or authorized caregiver. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Tracking event data is retained to maintain your historical records. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Section 10). Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
9. Cookies and Tracking
EasyBaby is a native mobile application and does not use web cookies or browser-based tracking technologies. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs that track you across other apps or websites.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
- Data Export: Request an export of your data in a portable format (available directly in the App for Premium users, or by contacting support).
- Opt-Out: Opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account.

11. PIPEDA Compliance (Canadian Users)
EasyBaby AI is a Canadian organization. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and adhere to its ten fair information principles:
- Accountability: We are responsible for personal information under our control and have designated a privacy officer to oversee compliance.
- Identifying Purposes: We identify the purposes for collecting personal information at or before the time of collection, as described in this policy.
- Consent: We obtain meaningful consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. Your use of the App constitutes consent to the practices described here.
- Limiting Collection: We collect only the personal information necessary for the identified purposes.
- Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention: Personal information is used and disclosed only for the purposes for which it was collected and is retained only as long as necessary.
- Accuracy: We keep personal information as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as necessary for its purposes. You may update your information through the App at any time.
- Safeguards: We protect personal information with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure.
- Openness: This Privacy Policy makes our data practices readily available to users.
- Individual Access: Upon request, we will inform you of the existence, use, and disclosure of your personal information and provide access to it.
- Challenging Compliance: You may challenge our compliance with these principles by contacting our privacy officer.

12. GDPR Compliance (EEA Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal bases for processing your data include: your consent, performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, and exercise all rights under the GDPR.
13. CCPA Compliance (California Users)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used, request deletion of your personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
